Setting Business Goals
Setting business goals is the only way for your company to become one of the best network marketing companies around. Many people do not realize the importance of goal setting. Is setting a goal enough? NO!!! In order for goals to be effective, goals must be followed by actions. You must have a strategy for accomplishing your goals before you can start to achieve them. Here is an example: Instead of setting this goal-- I will increase sales. Make it this goal— I will increase sales by 10% this month. Is this more specific goal enough??? NO!!! In order for this goal to be effective, you must create a STRATEGY to increase your sales by 10%. Maybe you can succeed by expanding your business goal to this— I will increase sales by 10% this month, by calling past customers and asking them if they need any refills on their products. So, your formula for creating effective goals is: I will ( insert your specific goal) by (insert your specific action or actions that will accomplish this goal). Sometimes, a goal will need more than one specific action to achieve your goal. Another way to say this is: Goal + Action = Success!

Goal Setting Guidelines
Here are 3 guidelines when you are trying to come up with your business goals.1) Make it Relevant- the goal should pertain to making your business better. For example, don't say to yourself: I will make customers happy. SAY: I will improve customer support. 2) Make it Attainable- the goal should be reachable with a little hard work. For example, don't say to yourself: I will triple my calls this month. SAY: I will increase my calls by 25% this month. 3) Make it Measurable- the goal should have some form of measurement for you to know that you have attained your goal...For example: I made $1000.00 last month. I will increase my sales by 10% and make $1100.00 this month($275.00 each week). In a nutshell, make it real, make it achievable, and make it able to be evaluated! Finally, don’t set the bar too high and set your self up for failure! Another thing, don’t set the bar too low so that not much is attained and you feel that your time spent was not worthwhile!
